Stewing in my own juices

Has anyone ever drowned in their own mucous? I have had this cold going on 5 weeks now. WTF! I know what you're thinking. Go to the doctor. I have a cold! All he will do is give me the complimentary antibiotics. I have a cold, that won't help! So many people eat antibiotics like tic tacs and wonder why we have all these resistant strains. Besides, I know of several people that have had this super cold for over a month. Just lucky I guess. Sigh.......
