Perhaps beating my head against the floor would be more satisfying

Why is it that if you don't dress like most of administration at work or have the same opinions/behavior, you can say something that makes so much sense and would solve so many problems in the workplace and would make the work environment so much better, your suggestions/opinions are summarily dismissed? The guy I share an office with is exactly this type of person. He wears tshirts, rides a skateboard, plays videogames, tells it like it is, and doesn't believe in being two-faced or in bullshitting people. Unfortunately, he will make suggestions that are ignored, and the part that chaps my ass is that it would make their job easier and mine better too. It's to the point where he is starting to look around for another job, and if he leaves, man O man, are they screwed. Now that I think about it, I would be too........sigh.
