Not a Star Trek geek but I wish it wasn't over

I have read from many a Star Trek fan that Enterprise is an abomination and they are glad it is on it's way out, but I can't say I agree. I know that sometimes the plot lines may have seemed recycled, but it will be sad with a world without a Star Trek series. Some say it's a good thing, I can't say. But this geek will miss the series, flaws and all. And yes, I know it is just a story and is not real. I am not one of the fans that will argue about the technical minutiae. I was saddened to see that Tripp didn't make it to the end, but I suppose they did that for dramatic effect. I did like how the ended the series as a reference in the holodeck in an episode of TNG. Made me melancholy for that series too. The movies for TNG were good, but it wasn't the same thing. The plot lines could get much deeper into the chararacters in the tv series vs the movies.
