Double D's Movie Reviews Episode 5
Fantastic Four........or maybe not.
So I saw this a week or so ago, thankfully not at full price. I really expected more. Michael Chiklis is great, I really like him on The Shield. I also like Julian McMahon. The problem I had is that the movie was flat. I didn't really care about the characters, or what happened to them. It seemed rather formulaic. It didn't have the depth that other super hero films of late (ex. X-Men 1 or 2 or Spiderman 1 or 2) had. Maybe the concept of the Fantastic Four just hasn't weathered the test of time, I dunno.

I used to watch this cartoon ALL the time when I lived in Mexico City. My favorite character? La Mole. mm...I'm not sure what his name is in English. Is the fat dude, made out of rock.
Anyways, it kinda sad to hear that a movie adapted from a cartoon you grew up with, kinda sucks. Oh well. I really wanted to see it, but will stay away from it like the plague. ;)
