Oh hey, btw, I suck

It's my girlfriend's birthday on the 20th, and i don't know what to get her. She said to get her Bath and Body Works gifts, but that lacks originality. Of course last week I took her to see Chicago (live performance) and then out for a really nice dinner, which we both enjoyed. She said that counted for her birthday, but to me that sounds like something your Mom would say, thus making me wrinkle my nose in disdain. I want to get her something she will really like, but I can't spend a lot of cash at this point. Then again, experience has taught me that when buying gifts for women, spending a ton of money does not equal a positive response. Putting more thought into a gift (and making it different) almost always makes for a better gift. Wish me luck.
