Aaaahhhhhhhh..........Intermission

I went to North Carolina to visit my best friend over the weekend. My girlfriend went with me and it was a great time. She hit it off with my friends wife (also a friend) and it was really relaxed, so it wasn't like we were running around nonstop. I didn't go down to be a tourist, I went down to hang out with my friends. Wish it was more than a weekend.

Double D's Movie Reviews Episode 5

Fantastic Four........or maybe not.

So I saw this a week or so ago, thankfully not at full price. I really expected more. Michael Chiklis is great, I really like him on The Shield. I also like Julian McMahon. The problem I had is that the movie was flat. I didn't really care about the characters, or what happened to them. It seemed rather formulaic. It didn't have the depth that other super hero films of late (ex. X-Men 1 or 2 or Spiderman 1 or 2) had. Maybe the concept of the Fantastic Four just hasn't weathered the test of time, I dunno.
